Staying on track – Without impairing the neighbouring track, the old ballast and sub-base can be excavated with the Schaeff-ITC312VL (VANOLINER). Transfer of the excavated material into the bunker shuttle wagon takes place in line with the track. Our rail bed reconstruction system is especially suited for short single and multi-track lines.

The machine has also been proven to be very useful when the rail lines must be used during reconstruction. As excavation, loading and conveyance take place in line with the track, the slewing of the conventional crawler excavators is no longer required. Any other parallel tracks can therefore be used at the same time without any interference or in-convenience.

The Schaeff - ITC312VL has a loading capacity of 3 to 4 cubic meters per minute with the integrated onboard conveyor system capable of carrying a capacity of up to 400 cubic meters per hour. The crawler unit allows the usual working operations on the rail bed and with the additional rail-borne chassis converts the machine to a train set formation.
